The Shopping Basket

A link to the Shopping Basket can always be found on the menu bar at the top of each screen on the Arco website. Select it to go to the Shopping Basket screen.

  1. Product List
    This is a list of products in your shopping basket. Summary details of each item can be seen along with the quantity you want to order. If you want to see more details about a particular item, you can select the link on the product code to create a popup window with the product details displayed inside it.

    You can change the quantity of each item that you want to order by editing the number in the Qty box. If you change the quantity of any of the items, then you must make sure you select the 'update basket' button to confirm the changes.

    The shipping details are stated underneath the product code and description. The information shown relates to the date and quantity of goods that will be shipped from Arco; this is not a delivery date.
  2. Scheduling Information
    Items you order can be scheduled to be delivered at specific times. The scheduling information is displayed underneath each item and can be altered using the 'set schedule' link.
  3. Customer Order Reference
    The Customer Order Reference box can be used to specify an order reference if you have one.
  4. Pricing Summary
    The pricing summary gives you an overview of the charges for your order. As well as the grand total, you can see what you have been charged for shipping, tax and your goods as separate figures.
  5. Delivery Address
    This area of the page displays the address to which your goods will be sent. You can use the 'Change Delivery Details' to change the address displayed here. You can also use 'Request Branch Collect' to have the goods delivered to your Arco branch so that you can collect them when it is convenient for you.
  6. Delivery Options
    This area of the page lets you specify extra delivery options, such as when you would like your goods and how they should be dispatched. Part Dispatch is set as default and means that goods in your order are dispatched as soon as they are ready and Arco will not wait until your order is complete before sending it. If you require the items together, you need to select Complete Dispatch.
    Selecting a Future Delivery Date means Arco will dispatch your goods on the date you specified instead of dispatching them as soon as possible.
  7. Delivery Offers
    The different delivery services that are on offer for your order are listed here along with their price.
  8. Special Instructions
    This area of the page lets you enter any special instructions that should be noted during the delivery of your order. These instructions will not affect the way Arco process your order, but will be passed on to the courier when your order is dispatched.
  9. Invoice Address
    This area of the basket displays the Invoice Address that will be used when your order has been placed and processed by Arco. This only applies to payment made on an Arco credit account. Payment by credit card will not generate an invoice.
  10. Payment Methods
    Arco offers different payment methods for different types of users on the site. This section of the basket lets you choose which payment method you want to use for this order. For more information see the Payment Guide.
  11. Decorate Items
    If decoration is enabled and you have decoratable items in your basket then the following option will appear below your product list:

    Clicking 'decorate items' will take you to the 'Decoration Summary' screen. For more detailed information on decoration services, please follow the link here.

Selecting the Change Delivery Details button on the Shopping Basket will take you to this screen where you can change the address that your goods will be delivered to.

On the left of the screen, you have the option of choosing from an existing list of delivery addresses or manually entering a new address. The address you have chosen is displayed on the right. You can also enter additional information that is relevant to the delivery of your goods such as your department and a contact telephone number.

When you are happy with the address details you have chosen, select the 'use this address' button to pass them back to your shopping basket.

Selecting the Request Branch Collect button on the Shopping Basket page will take you to this screen where you can choose the branch that your goods will be delivered to.

On the left is a list of Arco branches that your goods can be delivered to. Once you have selected the branch you want, its address details will be displayed on the right hand side of the screen. When you are happy with the information on this screen, select 'use this address' to pass it back to your shopping basket.
