Arco Moves up the Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250

Arco, the UK's leading expert in safety, is delighted to have moved up 37 places to rank 151 in this year's Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250 league table. The move coincides with Arco's 125th anniversary celebrations. The family owned business was formed in Hull in 1884 and is at the forefront of the safety industry.

Thomas Martin, Arco's Joint Managing Director said: "We are very pleased to be included in The Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250 league table of the biggest mid-market private companies and to have moved up to 151st place. Our ranking in this year's league table confirms Arco's position as a successful and ambitious business. It is a great honour to receive this acknowledgement in the same year that we are celebrating 125 years in business."

This year's Top Track 250 shows that many of Britain's private, mid-sized firms are proving resilient through the downturn, and have increased their sales and delivered profit over their latest financial year. The 250 companies generated combined sales of £68 billion, and employed more than 500,000 staff - equivalent to roughly 5% of GDP and 1.5% of the UK workforce.
