Award-winning restaurant supports HSE campaign The owners of an eatery that was crowned the best local restaurant in the UK by Gordon Ramsey has backed a Health and Safety Executive (HSE) campaign to lower the number of slips, trips and falls in the workplace.

Chef Aktar Islam and his business partner Jabbar Khan both featured in the fifth series of the popular television show, Gordon Ramsey's F Word, last year.

The pair are now urging other restaurants to heed the HSE's advice regarding slips, trips and falls in workplaces across the UK.

Mr Khan claims that looking after the wellbeing of employees helps to create "a top restaurant".

He said: "Without proper checks in place, kitchens can be dangerous environments to work in - and that is why we make sure the kitchen at Lasan is free of hazards which might cause slips and trips and that all our employees know how to minimise risks."

As part of the HSE campaign, Sainsbury's recently issued more than 15,000 pairs of new safety boots to its workers.ADNFCR-1200-ID-19659701-ADNFCR
