Arco, the UK's leading supplier of health and safety equipment and work wear, is the latest company to include Byotrol products in its range of innovative hygiene solutions for the food industry.
Arco�s offer will be strengthened by the addition of Byotrol technology in the form of the Byosan and Inhibitor ranges. These new ranges, which kill and prevent the re-growth of bacteria such as Listeria and E. coli, are now available to all of Arco�s customers. In food factory tests, Byotrol has improved hygiene more than 300% and significantly cut cleaning times.
Byotrol, which is said to be the biggest breakthrough in hygiene and cleaning technology in 50 years was originally developed to stop the spread of hospital bugs such as MRSA. It actively kills microbes and bacteria for days where current products last a few minutes. It can be used on any surface, wet or dry. Though hostile to microbes, Byotrol is extremely gentle to other living things making it ideal for use within the food production industry.
Commenting about the partnership with Byotrol, Jeff Snee, Arco�s Category Manager said; �We are always on the look out for new products and technology to give us the edge over our competitors, the Byotrol technology is revolutionary and we wanted to ensure that we offered this to our customers�.
The product range, which includes wipes, spray cleaners, hand cleaners and glass cleaner will be marketed under the Arco Byosan and Arco Inhibitor brands. A nationwide campaign across all Arco accounts has already begun with a number of major food manufacturing groups having already placed orders.
The range will be marketed through the new Arco Big Book which launched in
September. The products will also be available via the website www.arco.co.uk and in all 39 branches.
