The recent 'Red Nose Day' was a massive national success, raising over £74 million which will be used to transform the lives of poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged people across the UK and Africa.
The money raised on 'Red Nose Day' helps countless people on a number of levels, from restoring the sight of children in Africa to giving isolated, older people in the UK the support they need to enjoy their lives.
In support of such a worthy event, the staff at Arco participated in a "Dress Down Day". Everyone around the business came to work in casual clothes and were asked to donate a minimum of £1 each. Most people however, made much larger donations than this. Additionally, some members of staff went the extra mile and hosted a cake sale and donated all the money they made to the 'Red Nose Day' efforts.
In total, we raised £688.65, which was then kindly fund-matched by the Arco Charity Committee. On top of this a donation from one of our suppliers, The Emergency Shower Company, gave us a grand total of £1,427.30.
