Construction health and safety event to take place in Wales An upcoming event in Anglesey will focus on construction health and safety issues.

Company owners and management have been invited to attend the North Wales Working Well Together group, where they will be given advice on safe practices within the industry.

According to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the construction business is one of the most dangerous trades in the country and providing staff with the correct workwear, training and procedures is essential.

The event will focus on working at height, manslaughter and risk assessments.

It takes place at Coleg Menai Construction College from 08:30 GMT on November 4th.

"This event is intended to help builders get it right from the start," explained HSE construction inspector Debbie John.

"Many of those who attend events like this actually find that getting it right is surprisingly simple."

It coincides with the HSE's campaign aimed at raising awareness of asbestos and its risks.

Meanwhile, the government body is also hosting a warehouse safety event in Gloucestershire later this month.ADNFCR-1200-ID-19411641-ADNFCR
