Experts issue winter safety clothing advice Safety experts have offered advice to businesses and individuals regarding staying safe this Christmas.

The Redding Pilot listed twelve different tips, relating to various aspects of safety, from working in the cold to fire equipment advice.

"Wear several layers of loose fitting, lightweight, warm clothing rather than one layer of heavy clothing," those who work outside were advised, with the insistence that "outer garments should be tightly woven and water repellent".

In advice useful to those in offices, it was also said that there should be ready access to fire extinguishers, because there is a greater use of "alternate heating sources" during the festive season and correct safety procedures are not always followed.

Everyone should also be taught how to use the fire safety equipment, the experts said.

Fire extinguisher training is offered by numerous organisations across the UK.ADNFCR-1200-ID-18397535-ADNFCR
