FSA launches new healthy eating campaign The Food Standards Authority (FSA) recently launched a new online campaign designed to encourage young people to take simple steps towards improving their health and well-being.

SmallSteps4Life asks youngsters to set themselves a series of challenges relating to the concept of healthy eating.

The revamped website gives primary and secondary schools the chance to publish their own challenge ideas and play online games.

In addition to this, teachers can also nominate individuals or groups, who have done particularly well, for special SmallSteps4Life awards.

Gill Fine, the FSA's director of consumer choice and dietary health, described the website as a "unique project".

She added: "We know from the pilot in Kent that the approach can really make a difference to young people.

"The results showed it made them feel fitter, healthier and more positive, but most importantly, they had fun."

The FSA works alongside local food law authority enforcement officers to ensure that people within the sector use appropriate food industry workwear to prevent the spread of disease.ADNFCR-1200-ID-19597239-ADNFCR
