New health and safety courses for De Boer sub-contractors De Boer announced yesterday (January 18th) that it is set to launch a number of health and safety specialist training courses for its sub-contractors, Event Magazine reports.

The temporary structure firm recently confirmed that it has appointed Phil Earl as health and safety manager to work with all the partnerships it is operating in the UK.

Mr Earl will now be tasked with delivering the new programme, while also overseeing induction training for new staff and annual refresher courses for the existing workforce.

He told the news provider: "People find the idea of health and safety very scary until they actually get into it and then they realise it's actually very simple.

"The team need to know that health and safety is being treated as a priority and that I will be available on-site."

Mr Earl also explained that health and safety issues should be always be treated with the utmost importance by construction firms, regardless of the size of their contracts.

The Health and Safety Executive announced earlier this month that it will hold a seminar in March to inform construction companies of the benefits of reducing on-site noise and vibration.ADNFCR-1200-ID-19564717-ADNFCR
