New tanker has plenty of space for PPE Demonstrating what a priority personal protective equipment (PPE) is these days, a new bulk tanker fleet by Turners is offering "ample" space for the safety apparatus, it has been reported.

The DAF FTP "has ample storage space for the driver's belongings and any personal protective equipment he needs to carry", according to the Transport News Network.

Some 75 versions of the new tanker will be built, offering good opportunities for drivers in what can be a dangerous business.

The Health & Safety Executive has launched a campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of falling from vehicles.

One of the key pieces of PPE required to make sure that workers stay safe is good quality footwear.

The body suggests that people working with large vehicles test out different footwear and aim to find shoes or boots offering "comfort, fit, durability and slip resistance".ADNFCR-1200-ID-18359184-ADNFCR
