Professional backs moves for simpler processes A health and safety consultant has announced her backing for recent schemes to simplify regulations and make them less of a burden for small businesses.

Sarah Daniels, a consultant for a firm offering health and safety services in Norwich, noted that many companies see the system as a hindrance, reports the Norwich Evening News 24.

According to Ms Daniels, many employers are overly worried about regulations and fail to realise they are there to apply to the “business reality” that they face.

She commented: “If the process can be simplified still further and, most importantly, the right messages get across to the business community, the benefits will be tangible.”

There have been plans published in a new report to reduce the administrative burden of health safety faced by small companies in the region.

The Health and Safety Executive has a number of guidelines published on its website, including information on the maintenance and fitting of personal protective equipment such as safety helmets and spill kits.ADNFCR-1200-ID-18741488-ADNFCR
