RoSPA conference to focus on 'safe and healthy working' The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) annual conference in Scotland will focus on how employers can encourage good health and safety performance in their businesses.

Speakers at the event will be some of the key figures working towards reducing deaths, injuries and ill-health among workers north of the border.

Among those expected to address attendees are Dr Paul Stollard, director of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in Scotland and a representative of the Partnership on Health and Safety in Scotland.

Dr Karen McDonnell, head of RoSPA Scotland, commented: "This conference will provide an excellent opportunity to gain new insights É into the links between workers' well-being and improving the health of the nation as a whole."

In related news, the annual HSE conference on Occupational Health and Safety in Food Manufacture will be held at the Imperial Hotel in Blackpool on October 9th and 10th.
