RoSPA launches new risk assessment tool The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) is about to launch a brand new risk assessment tool, enabling employers to gauge employees' driving skills.

RoSPA's award-winning psychometric tool is able to assess the strengths and weakness of an individual's driving ability.

Driver Profile 2 is an online software package that gauges how the employee uses the road so that employers can put together any training that is required.

An assessment takes around 30 minutes and measures the driver's attitude, behaviour and level of risk without them having to actually go out on the road.

The updated version is full colour with a clearer text and has a significantly improved reporting system that is easier for managers to interpret.

Rick Wood, training and quality assurance manager in RoSPA's driver and fleet solutions team, described driver training as essential for "managing occupational road risk".

"Thousands of people have taken a Driver Profiler assessment since the software was first launched."

"We hope the new version will further benefit a wide range of organisations with employees who use the road for work," he added.
RoSPA has been established for over 90 years and provides educational facilities for preventing accidents while also campaigning for change where it is required.
