RoSPA to offer health and safety deals The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) is to mark the European Week For Safety and Health at Work by offering a number of deals on safety training, audits and products.

The week takes place from October 19th to 23rd and will see the organisation give businesses the potential to save more than £1,000.

It revealed that the offers will focus on encouraging companies to carry out adequate risk assessments to ensure the correct safety workwear, equipment and training is in place.

"[The event is] valuable in that it focuses attention on effective ways to prevent injuries and ill health, as this year's campaign is doing by highlighting risk assessment," explained RoSPA workplace safety general manager John Lester.

He added that the organisation hopes to give firms the incentive to carry out health and safety checks by making them more affordable.

The deals may help prevent accidents such as the one highlighted recently by the Health and Safety Executive.

It reported that a worker in the West Midlands had his hand pulled into a machine and nailed to a pallet.ADNFCR-1200-ID-19405165-ADNFCR
