Safety equipment can help relieve worker stress, expert says Adequate safety equipment has been called the best possible present for workers as Christmas approaches, as it helps relieves stress.

The comment was made Alyssa Abbey, an expert in stress management, who told Online Recruitment her tips for employers to make sure that their workers are stress-free.

Her tip on personal protective equipment read: "Provide adequate resources to do the job. Inadequate equipment, manpower or authority to do a job properly can be extremely stressful."

According to Health & Safety Executive statistics from 2006-07, 420,000 British people believed that they were being made ill because of stress.

In the same survey, the body also found estimated that because of stress, 13.8 million work days were reported as lost during the one-year period.

These figures may be of interest to businesses considering purchasing safety equipment, as it could possibly help to prevent employees from taking time off.ADNFCR-1200-ID-18370148-ADNFCR
