Theme park admits breach of safety leading to death Following the death of a 16-year-old on one of its rides, a theme park has admitted that it was in breach of health and safety regulations.

The teenager died after falling 100 ft when she was thrown out of a ride.

A jury inquest returned a neutral narrative verdict, but the Health and Safety Executive served a summons on the company after an investigation into the accident.

The company changed its plea and admitted it had failed to ensure the safety of persons who were not in its employ.

Another child received minor head injuries in the incident when he was struck by the schoolgirl.

Other employers should ensure that machinery is properly maintained and that employees working on it are provided with safety helmets and appropriate workwear.

Last month a teenager in the US was killed in an accident that took place on a theme park ride, reports eFluxMedia.
