Environmentally Responsible Clothing

This year sees the launch of PULSAR^®'s first environmentally responsible collection called PULSAR^® Life. They have taken a circular approach from the beginning and emphasis on R&D to select the most responsible solutions currently available to make considered choices, selecting sustainable fibres and switched out virgin polyester for recycled polyester (RPET) together with working with branded partners like Thermolite, Rudolf. By using Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified materials, they have ensured traceability amongst the range.

The collection includes 2 mid-layers, one of them being a reversible puffer jacket, a first for PULSAR^®, 3 high performance waterproof styles utilising 2 and 3 layer laminate GRS recycled polyester (RPET) fabric technology, including a coat, overtrouser and a shell jacket with a first in class A-symmetric zip design. New patterned 7cm wide segmented reflective tape used throughout, together with geometric patterned feature zips give the collection a more fashion look and feel. The collection is available in both mens' and ladies' styles in hi-viz yellow or orange.

During the development of this range, we undertook wearer trials to better understand performance requirements, whilst investigating garment construction methods to ensure that we create the most durable garments possible, to further extend the life of the product.

Thermolite^® - THERMOLITE^® EcoMade is breathable and quick drying. It demonstrates exceptional compressibility with rapid recovery, as well as durability. Rudolf - BIONIC-FINISH ECO^®, based on proprietary dendrimer technology, comes as a family of unique non-halogenated, APEO-free, fluorine-free formulations suited for different materials and designed for different applications and needs such as a garment being water repellent.

Rudholm Group - Rudholm Group produce all accessories from hangtags to packaging, that are high quality, fit for purpose, functional and add value to any product. Their goal is to produce products with the least impact on the environment, and our branding and trims will made from recyclable material, able to be recycled, upcycled and biodegradable.

CORDURA re/cor^™ RPET - CORDURA re/cor^™ RPET is made from 100% post-industrial re-claimed fibre that is 100% GRS certified. CORDURA re/cor^™ RPET is durable, responsible, innovated to last.

Silvadur^™ - Silvadur^™ unites silver ion's elemental powers with a patented delivery system to create an extremely effective, highly durable antimicrobial finish for a wide variety of textile and apparel applications. Silvadur^™ is applied to our Life Polo Shirts.
